Lyman “Woodie” Fritz, M.D.
Dr. Woodie Fritz earned his BS diploma from The College of Southern Mississippi followed by his MD at The Mississippi College of Medicine in Jackson, MS. He then served 5 years in the US Air Force offering primary care to service personnel.
After finishing his residency at University of Alabama-Birmingham College of Medicine and acquiring his board certification, Dr. Fritz co-founded Regional Emergency, offering emergency department physicians for hospitals within the southeast US. He worked full time in these emergency rooms while also practicing as a physician at UAB medical clinics in Birmingham, Alabama.
In 2003, Dr. Fritz founded The Fritz Clinic. He developed an interest in treating patients using integrative drug protocols to balance the hormones for women and men, Dr. Fritz, licensed as a provider, has additionally prescribed medical therapy in hyperbaric oxygen utilization.
Dr. Fritz trained with internationally renowned physicians within the Republic of Panama at the Stem Cell Institute Panama for the introduction of Stem Cell therapies for autoimmune diseases. He is also a co-owner of two medical clinics in Panama specializing in optimum wellness and physical vitality testing.
In 2010, Dr. Fritz felt compelled to handle the growing opioid dependency crisis with physician-based counseling and medically assisted therapy. The Fritz Clinic has become a front-runner in opioid dependency therapy with five clinics in Alabama.
